Airbus names Gabriel Semelas to lead Airbus in Africa and the Middle East

Gabriel Semelas has been appointed Executive Vice President of Airbus Africa and the Middle East, effective 1st January 2023.

Semelas succeeds Mikail Houari who will take on a new role within Airbus in early 2023.

As Executive Vice President of Airbus Africa and the Middle East, Semelas will be responsible for leading all commercial activities, and developing and executing the company’s strategy across the region.

Semelas has over 25 years of experience in the aerospace industry, having held various leadership positions within Airbus. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his new role, and is well-positioned to lead Airbus in Africa and the Middle East.
