Kampman Enshrined in Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame
Former Green Bay Packers defensive end Aaron Kampman was inducted into the team's Hall of Fame on Saturday, July 29, 2023, during a ceremony at Lambeau Field. Kampman, who played for the Packers from 2002 to 2009, was a key member of the team's Super Bowl XLV championship team in 2010.
Kampman's Career Highlights
During his eight seasons with the Packers, Kampman recorded 51.5 sacks, 11 forced fumbles, and seven fumble recoveries. He was named to the Pro Bowl twice, in 2006 and 2007, and was a member of the NFL's All-Pro Team in 2007.
Kampman's most memorable play came in the 2007 NFC Championship Game against the New York Giants. With the Packers trailing 20-10 and facing a 3rd-and-10 from their own 20-yard line, Kampman sacked Giants quarterback Eli Manning and forced a fumble that was recovered by teammate Nick Collins. The Packers went on to win the game 23-20 in overtime and advanced to Super Bowl XLII, where they lost to the New England Patriots.
Kampman's Hall of Fame Speech
In his Hall of Fame speech, Kampman thanked his family, friends, coaches, and teammates for their support throughout his career. He also thanked the Packers organization for giving him the opportunity to play in Green Bay.
