Mattias Janmark and Leon Draisaitl Scored in a 51-Second Span to Force Overtime
Connor McDavid scored 32 seconds into the second overtime giving the Edmonton Oilers a 3-2 win over the Dallas Stars on Monday night.
McDavid's goal came off a pass from Leon Draisaitl, who had tied the game with a goal of his own just 1:51 into the third period.
Mattias Janmark had given the Oilers a 1-0 lead with a goal at 11:22 of the second period, but Roope Hintz tied it for the Stars just over a minute later.
Janmark then put the Oilers back in front with a goal at 12:13 of the second, but Jason Robertson tied it again for the Stars with a goal at 14:23 of the third period.
Mike Smith made 33 saves for the Oilers, while Jake Oettinger made 40 saves for the Stars.
