Spain Seek Euro 2024 Perfection
Dominant Display Against Albania
Eyes on Opening Three Wins
Spain continued their dominant form at Euro 2024 with a largely comfortable 1-0 win over Albania in their second Group A match. Ferran Torres scored the only goal of the game in the 31st minute, as Spain controlled possession and created the better chances throughout.
Spain will be looking to win their opening three games of a UEFA European Championship tournament for the first time when they face Poland in their final group match on Sunday. A victory would see them secure top spot in the group and give them a favorable draw in the knockout stages.
Albania, meanwhile, will be hoping to avoid a third successive defeat in the tournament when they take on Slovakia in their final match. The Albanians have shown spirit and determination in both of their games so far, but they have been unable to find the back of the net.
The match between Albania and Spain will be played at the Merkur Spiel-Arena in Cologne on Sunday, June 24, at 19:00 CEST.
